New Client & Cache Upgrade

First of all I'd like to thank you guys for the massive support over these couple days. We've only just launched and were able to manage an outrageous amount of money donated leading to me getting that new client I was nagging about since day 1. I'm more than happy to announce that it's here, and ready for you to use! As always - new things lead to new bugs, so keep me updated if you find anything game-breaking :). So without further ado, here are the changes this new client brings us:

  • Cache upgraded from 861 to 888 (current version RS3 is on right now), this means we have all the latest items, monsters, maps - you name it, we have it!
  • Fixed Server->Client NPC tile update (this would show up as npc's floating and 'teleporting' into wrong places),
  • Fixed Ambient sounds, with full sound bank support (no more ear-rapes) (if you enjoy playing with sounds on then you'll hear some beautiful ambient noises around you, like birds flapping their wings for example),
  • Fixed Object varbit definitions ((configs) this would occasionally display the wrong objects while doing player-related things, like farming for example),
  • Improved general performance (personally I could now run it on max graphic settings with minimum to none stuttering while rotating the camera),
  • Finally an open-source client for me to edit whenever I have to (was partially obfuscated prior),
  • RS3 client's texture support (this would show up as Divination not having it's symbol on the skill-cape for example),
  • Fixed support for the World map,
  • Fixed support for generating mini-map icons on the fly,
  • Loads of sounds are now stored in the cache and will play when performing emotes (this removes the need of me having to hard-code every sound onto every action in the future)!

You'll notice that Velheim looks much.. much better now in general, and I hope you're as excited as I am!
For people who're using the not-recommended client, you'll have to download it again :)

Divination

  • Fixed an issue with some Divine locations not using the correct ingredients for creation;
  • Fixed all incorrect memory and experience data while harvesting wisps (also cleaned the code up so it wouldn't happen in the future);
  • Will no longer be able to convert 2 memories at once by tick-clicking on the rift.

Dungeoneering

  • Finishing the Toxin maze room should now properly remove connector object clippings;
  • You will no longer be able to claim your vote rewards while inside a dungeon;
  • Reduced attack speed for Luminescent Icefiend by 2 ticks;
  • Fixed To'kash Bloodchiller's combat animations;
  • Fixed Rammernaut's combat animations;
  • Fixed Har'Lakk the Riftsplitter's combat animations;
  • Fixed Stomp's combat animations (possibly);
  • Corrected and filtered Bulwark beast's chat-box messages;
  • Fixed Sagittare not dying and staying at 1HP for the rest of the dungeon;
  • You may now use your logs on fires to do Bonfire;
  • All your party keys will now display in the top left of your screen (dungeoneering overlay interface);
  • The noticeboard (task system tab) will now properly refresh when opened while inside a dungeon;
  • Pre-share (key sharing) is now enabled by default;
  • Ironmen can now invite other iron-men (same type only) and do team dungeons.

Game Perks

Introducing 2 new game perks:

  • Runic Ritual - this perk will add an extra 50% 'invisible' essence when Runecrafting scaling up with the runes you get and experience (subject to change);
  • Builder Bob - this perk will help you with your Construction needs, having a 50% chance of saving a material type when building furniture (subject to change);
  • Dungeon Deamon - this perk will remove the requirement of having keys to unlock doors while in Dungeoneering (subject to change);
  • Coalkeeper - this perk has a 50% chance of saving a random amount of coal based on the amount needed when Smelting bars (subject to change).

Game Ranks

@Ahoy decided to spice things up with our current donator ranks, and I quote 'let's pimp the forum!'
Ranks are now as follow:

  1. Regular Donator (green) -> Sapphire (blue),
  2. Extreme Donator (red) -> Emerald (green),
  3. Legendary Donator (blue) -> Ruby (red),
  4. Supreme Donator (yellow) -> Diamond (white),
  5. Ultimate Donator (purple) -> Dragonstone (purple).

Rank tiers and pricing are all the same, we just figured this could be a more relatable ranking system with at least 2 more expands in the future (if necessary)!

Magic

  • Moved the Lodestone network from world map to home teleport in the Magic spellbook;
  • You'll now be able able to right-click home teleport to quickly teleport to your last lodestone destination.

Skilling Pets

  • 27 new pets have been introduced into Velheim (only 26 obtainable at the moment since the 27th is from Invention).
  • 19 non-combat related skill pets and 8 combat related. These pets can be obtained by earning experience in that particular skill and are super rare.
  • Other players will be able to examine these pets to see the owners experience in that skill.

Thieving

  • Re-introducing the home thieving stalls, updated to not be so AFK and fast with stall respawn timers;
  • Significantly increased all Thieving stall respawn timers around the world;
  • Fixed an issue with the Silver stall at Ardougne not being able to be thieving from;
  • Increased the success rate when Thieving at lower levels;
  • Pick-pocketing NPC's will now yield x10 the amount of coins it was previously;
  • Added a Master Farmer NPC spawn near Ardougne lodestone.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed the Rock crabs teleports taking you to incorrect locations;
  • Poisoned weapons will now apply poison onto the target at a much more frequent rate;
  • Fixed Barbarian Outpost Agility course's ladder;
  • Dying in a Boss room (instanced or public) will now drop your Grave outside the room;
  • All Crossbows are now unlimited stock in the Grand Exchange;
  • Agility daily challenges will now also account for the advanced course;
  • Drastically increased Herbivore's Herblore box drop chance;
  • You will now be able to light logs directly from the floor by right-clicking on them and selecting the option "Light";
  • Added the Yanille north wall's Agility shortcut;
  • Heavily increased Evil tree's coin rewards, and disabled the Leprechauns finger snapping magic for Ultimate Ironmen;
  • Added a ';;dz' command for those in-need of it;
  • Ironmen will no longer be able to purchase seeds from the Farming store;
  • The World map is now fully functional.
